Seat of Power.

The Inner Centre of the City, the point of governance is a grand metropolis in of itself, megalithic concrete representing the apex of state power, it is clear who rules here. The State…”

At the very centre of Ludenwic is the Government District, comprising of a complex network of Departments, Tunnels, hallways, Temples. It is the very Brain of Ingland. It represents the very nature of the Inglish State and it’s domineering approach to state craft while mean while the sense you have when in this district is a quiet coolness, it’s deadly silent.

When on the outskirts of Ludenwic, say in one of the “10-minute” cities, reminiscent of a cosy English village or European Medieval city, but you are always constantly aware of what is in the horizon, constantly watching silently, The Government Sector. The Inglish Throne towering over the mega anthill that is Ludenwic. Brutalist Mega Pyramids and towers, encircled by spiralling gothic towers, a rare architectural phenomenon which perhaps was the goal of the mysterious Inglish State.

“It’s a city of ghosts and that’s how he wanted it”

“Who is he?”

“You know him, but not his face”

“The Magister?”

“yes & no”

“What does that even mean? is it or isn’t it”

“That’s just how the state wants it. The magister is a Ghost, our government: attending spirits.- Those Concrete Pyramids might as well be the rulers”

Subject: Thoughts of a Street Sweeper

I’ve been cleaning these streets for 20 years. Ain’t too bad if I’m honest, decent pay to make my way, I live in a housing block on the outskirts of the city. make my way through the underground 5 in the mornin’ clock in and start sweeping, For the last 5 years I’ve been allocated the very centre of Ludenwic, Or London as my old man called it.

Considering it’s the home of the Magister and the government it’s very quiet, sometimes on a dark dawn it’s quite eerie but peaceful in some aspects.

I follow my rota and make my sweeps.

Clean the main courtyard by the Ministry of Defence, empty street bins at Hargrave Square, remove Pidgeon nests from the arches along Witan Way..

I’m just a simple fella really, I don’t know too much but I do appreciate some nice buildings, and this place is pretty unique compared to the rest of Ludenwic and well most places in Ingland.
It’s just concrete, huge blocks of the stuff, marble too I think? not too hard to maintain I suppose.

Sometimes throughout the day I’ll see government types making their way through the district, suited up gibbering and all that. No idea, suits me, Let them run it I say.
